Towing in the Sydney CBD
Height-limited basements, loading-dock windows and a one-way grid that punishes hesitation — CBD towing is its own discipline, and it's one we work daily.
The hardest place in Sydney to move a car.
Most CBD callouts start the same way: a car that won't start on level B3 of a tower with a 2.1-metre clearance, or a delivery window at a loading dock that closes in forty minutes. A standard tilt tray can't get anywhere near either. Working the city means knowing which equipment fits where, which docks take a truck at what hour, and how to stage a recovery when the street outside is a clearway.
We handle prestige vehicles out of apartment and office basements in Barangaroo, the financial district and the Darling Harbour precinct towers, and 24/7 breakdowns on the approaches: the Harbour Bridge and tunnel, the Cahill, the Western Distributor.
What CBD work looks like
- Basement extractions: height-limited equipment and patient winching up parking ramps
- Clearway and loading-zone timing: we plan the pickup window so you don't wear a ranger's ticket on top of a breakdown
- After-hours tower moves: building managers know us; we work to their dock schedules
- Event and hotel valet overflow: discreet moves for vehicles that attract phones and crowds

Good to know.
Can you get a car out of an underground car park in the city?
Usually yes. Basement recoveries are one of our most common CBD jobs. Tell us the building and the height limit on the entry boom when you call, and we'll confirm the equipment before we roll.
Where can a tow truck actually stop in the CBD?
Short answer: where we plan it. We time pickups around clearways and use loading zones and dock access where buildings allow. You won't be asked to push a car across three lanes of George Street.
Do you do after-hours moves for buildings and hotels?
Yes. Overnight and early-morning windows are often the only time tower docks are free, and we work them routinely.
